Are there really people out there who think teachers are overpaid and underworked? I think teachers, among a few other career fields, really deserve to get paid so much more than they do!

Anxiously awaiting your TA with ya!

Amazingly enough, there are some people who think teachers are overpaid and underworked. One caller in our local paper's speakout section said that he thinks we make too much money because he heard a teacher talk about going to the Caribbean on vacation. He said that as long as we are above the poverty level, we should never get a raise. There are some bad teachers just as there are bad cops, accountants, doctors, salespeople, etc. Thankfully, most people realize that most of us are trying our best and that we really care about our students.
